I’m Fernando Olivero, a software developer and research scientist with an interest in dynamic Object-oriented programming languages and User Interfaces.
Currently I’m a postdoctoral researcher at INRIA, working on a project titled: “Infrastructure for new generation graphic kernel”, collaborating with the RMoD team, under the guidance of Stéphane Ducasse.
In this project, we will focus exclusively on improving Pharo, an open source Smalltalk implementation.
In this blog I’ll describe the enhancements, cleanups and refactorings to the graphics kernel and development tools of that we will perform during this project.
I’ve used to be part of the REVEAL research team, where I’ve completed my doctoral studies under the supervision of Michele Lanza. I’ve also worked in the industry for several companies using Smalltalk, such as Caesar Systems.
